When I was in my early thirty’s I would hear stories of spiritual mediums and psychics communicating with another world, I found such stories hilarious, what nonsense I thought not for a minute did I believe any of it, then one evening I was persuaded to attend a demonstration at the psychic centre in Govan, Glasgow. The Psychic demonstrating this night claimed to have a guide in the spirit world that could travel to a person’s home and describe how it looked internally, she came to me and to my amazement she described a bedroom in my house so accurately, to the point she described a pair of training shoes that had fallen behind a chest of drawers that had been put inside a large wardrobe, when I returned home i ran to the bedroom to see what was behind the chest of drawers, it was the shoes exactly as she had described!

For the next ten years or so I studied the subject of  paranormal activities readings hundreds of books, attending courses and workshops at spiritualist churches, The Arthur Findlay College, Edinburgh College Of Parapsychology and for years I sat in a development circle at Summerset Place Spiritualist Church in Glasgow, these were incredible years learning so much and meeting so many wonderful people, I now knew it was possible to communicate with the spirit of someone who had once lived in this world, I knew it was possible to gain information about a person or place using psychic senses not just because I had now witnessed so many people doing it, I knew because I had been shown how to do it myself.

It was not my intention to become a Platform medium or give psychic readings I just wanted to know more, the knowledge and the experiences I had gained changed me I had become more intune with my intuition my inner self I was stronger as a person after ten years of studying the paranormal I decided it was now time to move my life in a different direction, at the time I was very appreciative of all those who had helped me along my journey so I made a promise to myself that when the time and circumstances were right I would give something back I would help share the truth that had been shown to me, some 15 years have now passed and I feel now is that time!

During the covid years our craft supply business was hit hard, I knew we had to make changes, then one day I was online and I saw an advert for a  church for sale in Paisley, I knew instantly I should buy this church and move my business here and thats what I did, I followed my natural instinct, my intuition.

Some five years later I now run the 1836 church halls in Paisley, we housed our craft supply business in the main church hall and after some renovations we rented out space within the buildings to churches, drama, dance and exercise groups etc, the buildings are now used on a daily basis by the local community.

I now want to create a space within our church halls for those who want to explore their own spiritual journey, a place of education, a place of neutrality with no fixed views or beliefs, a place of discovery.
